Algonquin Country Club

Work was recently completed at the Algonquin Country Club in St. Louis. The renovation included roughly 1,200 square feet of maple hardwood in the foyer, sitting room, living room and main hallway. The men’s and women’s restrooms floors and walls were re-tiled, along with new wallpaper, cabinets, doors and hardware. The main dining room received new carpeting, wall covering and light fixtures. The boardroom received new ceiling tiles and wall coverings.

The building, which was built in 1903, had its fair share of challenges. One major challenge was the “hump” in the middle of the boardroom. The boardroom used to be the office and bathroom of the General Manager. Overtime, new flooring was installed on top of each other which created an unpleasant hump.  After three wheel barrels, full of carpet and flooring, the hump was sanded down and new carpet was installed.
